Here comes a string of Tales, and lots of pictures, from the Belly of Delhi.
I will start with the view off my balcony, during an afternoon rainstorm. The big tree thrashing about is a NEEM tree. Hundreds of birds visit it daily, don't you wonder where they all are hiding now?
Visual artist, and designer, working in Delhi on and off since 1978. I design textiles, and all kinds of decorative arts, jewelry and more. I love to work with artisans who work with their hands. I also work as a voice-over artist.
I am fascinated by Delhi's thousands of years of history, which has left many magnificent buildings, and their ruins in the cityscape. I want to see them ALL, document them all, before they are lost forever under the surging growth of current massive real-estate development. Delhi is home to 15 million and counting.
